Three drigin forces

Behind this onward march of international economic integration lie three drigin forces: sharp reductions in the costs of transport and communications; economic liberalisation; and the entry into the world economy of the vast population of east and south Asia, home to more than half humanity. In the present era, the collapse in the cost of generating and transmitting information dwarfs the relatively sedate decline in transport costs.
